HOOVER RELEASES 1ST CORDLESS CLEANING LINE WITH UNIQUE INTERCHANGEABLE BATTERY SYSTEM
New Cordless Line Offers More Options and Better Solutions to Unplug from Traditional Home Cleaning

GLENWILLOW, OHIO, Spring, 2015—Five cordless cleaners all powered by the same battery system lets consumers customize the way they clean their homes with enough runtime and options to clean a whole home, pick up quick messes, wash/scrub hard floors and tackle hard to reach places—all without the hassle of a cord.

Hoover, inspired by its corporate affiliation with two powerful contractor-grade tool brands, developed its newest battery system to be as rugged as it is long lasting. The new LithiumLife™ cleaning line uses one interchangeable battery system, which means the same battery can be used to power every cleaner in the new collection.

“Our 2015 range expands our cordless offerings in new categories like deep cleaning for hard floors and high-performance quick cleaning, as well as bringing innovative solutions to traditionally difficult areas such as stair cleaning,” says Paul Bagwell, Global VP of Product Development.

The Hoover LithiumLife™ Cordless Line:

  • The Hoover Air™ Cordless: Hoover’s first full-size, cordless upright vacuum that can clean a whole home.
  • The Hoover Air™ Cordless 2-in-1: A high-performance stick vac with a removable handvac is the ideal quick cleaning solution for pet lovers and multi-floor surfaces.
  • The Hoover Air™ Handheld Vacuum: The same high-performance, cordless hand vac you find in the 2-in-1 for small, stubborn messes.
  • The Hoover Air™ Cordless Lift: A cordless upright with a detachable canister for cleaning hard to reach places such as stairs, ceilings and cars.
  • The FloorMate® Cordless: A cordless hard floor cleaner that that washes, scrubs and dries sealed hard floors.

“By expanding our cordless line, consumers can choose a cordless product that best fits their particular cleaning needs,” says Bagwell. “We looked to provide enough power, capacity and runtime to be considered as a replacement to the machines used today.”

The extension of the cordless line comes after the successful 2014 launch of one of Hoover’s best-rated products, the Hoover Air™ Cordless, their first full-size, whole-home, cordless upright vacuum driven by LithiumLife™ battery technology.

The entire collection will be available spring 2015 on Hoover.com, giving consumers the ability to truly clean with ultimate convenience, just in time for spring cleaning.
